Yet to meet our accountant Jacklyn Ersan? Jacklyn joined Nexis in 2017 back when she was an undergraduate accountant in her second year of a Bachelor in Accounting at the Australian National University. Since completing her degree in 2019, Jacklyn delivers a range of taxation and compliance services. Jacklyn has also been involved in numerous trust account audits and tax planning and is currently undertaking further study to be a qualified Chartered Accountant.
“I believe that I am more than just your accountant. I enjoy building a connection with my clients that enable me to be their ‘go-to’ person in all aspects of their business. I strive to lift the burden off my clients in their compliance work to ensure that their time is better utilised within their industry and area of expertise.”
When not at work Jacklyn loves nothing more than keeping up to date with ‘reality’ TV shows such as The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and MAFS, as well as going to an early morning HITT class at her local gym to get her mind ready for a productive day.
We spoke to Jacklyn about what makes her tick.
Where is your favourite place in the world?
“New Zealand – It’s not too different from Australia but very picturesque.”
If you could be any animal, which would you be and why?
“A Panda because it looks soft and cuddly but can bite you!”
What are you passionate about?
“Giving back to those less fortunate – not necessarily money but other things like time, blood, food etc.”
What are you currently watching on Netflix?
“Marcella, Riverdale and Suits.”
If you would visit anywhere in the world you’ve never been, where would you go?
“Austria, Morocco and South America.”
If you were a crayon, what colour would you be?
“Black, like my soul.”
Are you a morning person or a night owl?
“Morning person on workdays (I like to get lots done – gym, afternoon sport) but night owl on weekends and holidays.
