Meet Uttam Shrestha, our Junior Accountant, who joined Nexis’s Canberra team in April 2024, originally as one of our Client Team Administrators.
Uttam has had a strong desire to be an Accountant for the past eight years, and we are thrilled he has made such a speedy progression within the firm. When he was interviewed for the Client Team Administrator role, we explained Nexis’ passion for developing our staff and we are pleased to help Uttam make his dream become a reality.
As a Junior Accountant, his role includes tax returns and financial statements, bookkeeping and BAS.
We recently sat down with Uttam to learn more about him and his role at Nexis.Â
The best concert Uttam has ever seen
The best concert Uttam ever attended was in 2017 at Luna Park for a Nepalese concert, where The Edge Band left the biggest impression. Their live music and vocals were as good as their recordings, if not better, and it was a surreal experience for Uttam as a music fan.Â
A true masterpiece
Uttam’s favourite TV series of all time is the Netflix series, Dark. As a child, Uttam was always fascinated by the idea of parallel universes and time loops, so to see all these ideas on screen and executed to such a good standard was amazing.Â
Where Uttam’s inspiration comes fromÂ
The concept of ‘future’ inspires Uttam. Making sure he is doing enough for a better future for his daughters, wife, parents, and himself inspires him. He always wants to be a better version of himself so that all who depend on and are associated with him have a brighter emotional and financial condition than today.
